McCreery Farms
Low Malzie Farm, Wigtown


Irwin McCreery milks 400 Pedigree Holstein twice daily though a 20/20 Heringbone Parlour averaging 9,000 litres.

The full installation across all the housing ensures the cows have 24/7 LED lighting. The 70W Smart Linear LED Light features blue and white light for daytime replicating summer sunshine. At night time the red light to assists supervision without inhibiting Melatonin release during the night period.

The dairy unit at Fields Farm has been transformed by the DairyLight LED lighting system which features unique white, blue and red LED 24hr lights scientifically proven to enhance a cow’s performance and general wellbeing all year round.

Kevin Peacock currently milks 750 pedigree Holsteins, prefix Mereheyes, three times a day and achieves an average yield of 11,500 litres.

Lillisford Farm

The Shilston family farm in a village near Totnes where David milks 55 Holsteins through a robot with an average of 11,000 litres.

The DairyLight installation has completely transformed his shed providing a much nicer environment for the herd and dairy team. Under the red light at night the cows appear to be calmer and more settled, with enough lighting for the team to walk around and check the cows when needed.

Haford Grove

Dylan Evans and his brother, Hefin, of Hafod Grove run a fully organic mixed herd of 200 Pedigree Holsteins and Jerseys that are calved all year round to guarantee milk supply to their buyer.

DairyLight supplied and installed the LED lighting system for their dairy unit which will be increasing to 230 cows. The herd are milked twice a day and average 7,500 litres. Since the installation the cows have been more relaxed under the night time red light and daytime blue and white lights.
